For Kelley, needlepoint is more than a hobby. It’s her creative escape, a reason to slow down, and one of her very favorite ways to add a little color and joy to everyday life.

She discovered needlepoint more than five years ago during a season of postpartum depression, and it quickly became something she truly loved. It gave her a way to recharge, create something beautiful, and enjoy a little time for herself while still being present with the people she loves most.

When she’s not stitching or dreaming up what’s next for Sweetgrass, Kelley is a pediatric nurse practitioner, proud U.S. Air Force wife to Corey, and mom to Jack and Blake. Her crew also includes their golden retriever, Otis, and a flock of chickens.

Her love for the craft eventually inspired Sweetgrass Needlepoint, a happy little corner of the needlepoint world where everyone is welcome, whether you’re picking up your very first canvas or already have a stitching bag full of projects.

Kelley’s hope for Sweetgrass is simple: to help more people fall in love with needlepoint and find a little more creativity, connection, and joy along the way.
